The most useful tools of the Internet of Thing for precision agriculture are the wireless sensors that
detect micro-climatic conditions directly in the field, with the aim of planning interventions with
phytosanitary treatments and targeted processing, at the most ideal time for cultivation, reducing
costs, resources and energy. Wireless sensors are smart, precise, effective and efficient devices: they detect and send data automatically and with maximum reliability. Depending on the type of crop, they can be interconnected with wireless actuators to trigger desired actions (e.g.: operate the irrigation
system).

Gli strumenti dell’Internet of Thing più utili all’agricoltura di precisione sono i sensori wireless che rilevano le condizioni micro-climatiche direttamente sul campo, con l’obiettivo di pianificare gli interventi con trattamenti fitosanitari e lavorazioni mirate, nel momento più utile per la coltivazione, con risparmio di costi, risorse ed energie.

Using wireless sensors in the vineyard:

The microclimatic conditions of the vineyard are detected by wireless sensors, located in the field, which measure temperature and relative humidity of air and soil, wind, atmospheric pressure, rain, light intensity, dew point, leaf wetness, diametric stem growth, pH and soil conductivity.
